Camden General Cemetery Masterplan

On 26 August 2014, Council resolved to endorse the Camden General Cemetery Masterplan which seeks to maintain the semi-rural character of the cemetery and the existing general layout whilst improving maintenance and other facilities for visitors and providing a wider range of options for burial and memorials.

When fully implemented, the masterplan will facilitate 5,810 burial plots in clearly defined sections and provide an additional 4,608 other memorial options including additional columbarium walls, Family Rose Garden, Memorial Tree and Children’s Memorial Garden.

Funding has been allocated by Council to commence the implementation of the Masterplan, with initial works to focus on construction of new columbarium walls, a toilet facility and maintenance area. It is expected that these works will commence in 2016.

For more information about the Masterplan please contact Council on 4654 7777.
