Street Tree Removal and Pruning

Council is responsible for the management of trees on Council land. Council considers trees to be valuable assets to the community, contributing to the amenity of the area.

You can request an inspection and assessment of a street tree fronting your property or elsewhere within the area by:

  • Contacting Council on 4654 7777,
  • Emailing Council on or
  • Calling into Council's Oran Park¬†Administration Office.

Council's Public Tree Management Officer will undertake an assessment and determine if works are required or not. Should works be identified, this will be scheduled and completed by Council’s Contractors.

A tree, shrub, grass or any other vegetation located on public land is prescribed as being protected within the Local Government Act 1993. Approval to undertake any tree and vegetation works must be made with Council. The removal and/or pruning of any vegetation without approval from Council is a breach if the Local Government Act 1993, penalties may apply.
