To ensure our fields are kept in suitable playing condition it is essential for Council to close sporting fields during and after periods of wet weather and occasionally for maintenance.
During periods of wet weather please phone our wet weather hotline on 8250 4153 for updates.
Please note: Even if council's sports fields are described as "OPEN", in the event of wet weather it is up to the individual club or association to make a decision on use, taking into consideration the condition of the field, any damage that may be caused and duty of care to the participants. In such circumstances, individuals should contact their club or association to confirm whether the club or association has made a decision to use the sports field.

Walking and cycling are the best ways to enjoy the sights of Camden, with a variety of trails throughout the area there are routes suited to all capabilities.

When cycling in Camden it is essential that bikes have the following;

Camden Bicentennial Equestrian Park

Camden Bicentennial Equestrian Park (BEP) was officially opened in August 2000. Since then it has developed into an equestrian home for many equestrian and non-equestrian groups. The Park is also opened to membership for Recreational Riders (terms & conditions apply).

Camden BEP is located 1 hour drive from Sydney CBD, fifteen minutes from Campbelltown railway station, ten minutes from the main interstate freeway, one minute from Camden town centre and on the scenic alternative route between Sydney — Canberra — Melbourne
