Council registered as COVID Safe business
Posted 4 years ago
Council has shown its commitment to the health and safety of the community and its staff by officially being registered as a COVID Safe business.
COVID Safe is an NSW Government program established to support businesses to keep the community safe from COVID-19.
Council’s following facilities became registered COVID Safe businesses recently:
- Oran Park Administration Building;
- Camden Civic Centre;
- Oran Park, Camden and Narellan Libraries;
- Alan Baker Art Gallery; and
- Mount Annan Leisure Centre
Mayor of Camden, Cr Theresa Fedeli, said it was important for Council to lead the way as residents return to their normal lives.
“Community safety is of paramount importance to Council and this step ensures our facilities are safe to be used as we fight the COVID-19 pandemic,” Cr Fedeli said.
“As part of our registration, Council will display signs across its facilities to show its commitment to having a COVID Safe Plan in place.
“This is also a timely reminder for residents to get tested if they show any flu-like symptoms, stay home if you feel unwell, regularly wash your hands and take care of your loved ones.
“I am proud to see Council has become a COVID Safe registered business and believe if we all work together, we can come through it strongly and successfully.”
Council also announced a $16.8 million COVID-19 Support Package in April this year for residents and local businesses suffering from the shock of COVID-19.
