Waste Bins for Events
Many of Council's facilities have bins located within the area. However, these bins are for use by regular patrons and are not suitable for events.
If you are holding an event, you will be required to order bins to ensure that all waste generated by the event can be removed. You can use the table below to determine how many bins you will need.
NB: Fines will be issued to any organisation that does not remove all waste generated by the event.

This table is to be used as a guide only. You will be advised by Council's Waste Team if the required bin quantities differ from those above. |
You can also reduce the amount of waste generated by your event by having recycling bins on site. If so, you will need to demonstrate that you have a plan for managing waste on the day to ensure contamination does not occur. If you wish to have recycling bins at your event, you can discuss this with Council's Waste Team on 13 22 63 prior to submitting your event application.
