Liz Kernohan Drive Intersection Upgrade
The total expected cost for this package of infrastructure works in $32.7 million, with funding to be provided through the NSW Government's Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants of $14.9 million, the Federal Government's Western Sydney Infrastructure Plan (Round 4) Grant of $6.4 million and local developer contributions of $11.4 million.
About the project
This project will deliver the construction of the signalised intersection upgrade of Camden Valley Way/Liz Kernohan Drive/Kirkham Way, roundabout at the intersection of Camden Valley Way/Hilder Street and the missing sections of Liz Kernohan Drive.
The intersection upgrades will enhance traffic flows, safety, access and amenity for community travelling north south between Camden, Narellan, Aerotropolis, Leppington train station and the Southwest Growth Centre.
Works will include:
- New signalised intersection between Camden Valley Way, Liz Kernohan Drive and Kirkham Lane;
- New Roundabout at the intersection of Camden Valley Way & Hilder Street;
- New road pavement with improvements considering latest flood information;
- New landscaped median islands and verges;
- New shared paths;
- Underground electricity;
- Service relocations;
- Lighting upgrades; and
- New storm water drainage.
Timeframe
Construction is expected to commence in Mid 2025 and be completed by late 2026, weather depending.
