Entertain the little ones with online school holiday program
Posted 4 years ago
Keep the kids entertained during school holidays has never been easier, thanks to Camden Libraries’ upcoming school holiday activities program.
The online program, running between Monday 28 September and Friday 9 October, will allow kids to take part from their own homes. It includes:
- Free online animal workshops – Reptile Encounters will host three incredible live online sessions focusing on Australian Reptiles, Insects and Minibeasts and Feathers, Fur and Scales;
- Take home mystery crafts – 60 packs available per week from Monday 28 September at Camden, Narellan and Oran Park Libraries;
- Online Storytime – one session on Wednesday 30 September and a second on Wednesday 7 October;
- Stick it to us – help create a 4,000-sticker collaborative sticker picture by the time the holidays are over; and
- Colouring Page – print and complete a colouring page at home and email Camden Libraries for a reward.
Mayor of Camden, Cr Theresa Fedeli, said the program was a great way to both educate and entertain the kids during the upcoming school holidays.
“Camden Libraries regularly host fantastic school holiday programs which are highly educational and this one is no different,” Cr Fedeli said.
“The program covers a range of topics for children of all ages which I am sure will keep the kids entertained, in particular the free online animal workshops.
“Kids can also get creative with Camden Libraries Take Home Mystery Crafts or the collaborative sticker picture. I think this program is one of the most exciting to date and I encourage parents and guardians to jump online and check it out.”
