Camden’s recovery from the most recent flood continues with affected residents and business owners able to receive assistance at Council’s Flood Recovery Assistance Point at Narellan Child, Family and Community Centre.
Council will continue its information service hub at Narellan for another week with services including Resilience NSW, Services Australia, Service NSW, Legal Aid and many more available from Monday 18 to Friday 22 July between 10am and 4pm. The Assistance Point will also be open on Thursday evening from 6pm – 8pm.
Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli encouraged businesses and residents needing assistance to visit the facility.
“This is a tough time for many local businesses and residents as we continue in the recovery phase and it is important for the community to know that Council is here to help,” Cr Fedeli said.
“It was devastating to see our beautiful Camden inundated with floods for a fourth time this year, however we are a resilient community and I know we can get through this together.
“I urge anyone who needs assistance to visit the information stall at Narellan Child, Family and Community Centre or contact Council.”
Council also raised $11,900 at its recent Boots n’ Beats – Camden Country Music festival recently. This money was donated to Big Yellow Umbrella, Turning Point Camden and Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard to go towards flood relief efforts
Narellan Child, Family and Community Centre is located at 20 Queen Street, Narellan.
