Have your say on Camden’s future sport facilities
Posted 4 years ago
Residents can have their say on the future of sporting facilities in the Camden area as Council updates its Sportsground Strategy.
The strategy includes a strategic framework and action plan to support the role Council plays in the provision of high quality and well-maintained sporting fields and amenities.
Mayor of Camden, Cr Theresa Fedeli, said the community’s feedback was important to the future of sports grounds in the area.
“Council prides itself on providing residents with state-of-the-art sports facilities and it is crucial to keep the community informed as we look towards future years,” Cr Fedeli said.
“We already have the area’s first synthetic football field being constructed at Nott Oval in Narellan and have a range of sports facilities to begin building soon including Narellan Sports Hub Stage 2 and a new cricket facility at Fergusons Land.
“The strategy will assist the direction of any future sports facilities as well as provide an action plan to address emerging themes and issues within the sport and recreation sphere.”
The Sports Ground Strategy will be on exhibition for public comment until Tuesday 11 August, 2020.
