Have your say on Raby Road upgrade design

Posted 4 years ago

Camden residents are encouraged to have their say on the concept design of the upgrade of Raby Road, between Emerald Hills Boulevard and Thunderbolt Drive.

The design proposes to widen the existing two-lane rural road, creating a four-lane sub-arterial road with two lanes in each direction and signalised intersections at Gledswood Hills Drive and Thunderbolt Drive.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Theresa Fedeli, said community feedback was important for the continuation of the project.

“We’re currently the fastest growing Local Government Area in the country and we want to make sure our residents both now and, in the future, have high-quality infrastructure on their doorsteps,” Cr Fedeli said.

“Raby Road is a crucial east-west link between Camden and Campbelltown areas, and I believe these works will continue to foster the growth of both LGAs over the next few years.

“I encourage the community to have their say about the design as we continue our work on this project.”

The upgrade, along approximately 2.5 kilometres of Raby Road, extends into both Camden and Campbelltown areas, with NSW Government funding totalling $2.9 million for the complete design of the project.
