Residents can focus on their mental and physical health and wellbeing, with Council’s Wellness Week program.
The program is jam-packed of activities, videos and giveaways, running from Monday 16 August until Saturday 22 August.
Residents of all ages are invited to get involved in the range of activities we have available, which are as follows:
- Competition to go in the running to win a Live Tea Tasting pack and high tea platter;
- Recipe card and video on scone making;
- Video with Haven Pilates;
- List of businesses that can help with health and mindfulness shared;
- Camden live tea tasting; and
- Meditation session by Positive Inspirations.
Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli, said Wellness Week was the perfect opportunity for people to take some time to focus on their health and wellbeing.
“Often people don’t prioritise their health and wellbeing because we usually have so many things on the go,” Cr Fedeli said.
“But it’s more important than ever to take a step back and look after your mind and body. This week-long program offers a range of activities that can be completed in the comfort of your own home, so I encourage you to look at which aspects interest you.
“As always, I am very proud of the way our Camden community works together to support each other, particularly in a time such as now. I encourage you to get involved online this week, and even send the program to others who may find it useful.”
