Playspace Strategy
Posted 8 months ago
Council is calling for residents to provide input into a Playspace Strategy which will guide the creation and maintenance of playspaces across the Camden area.
The strategy will ensure the Camden community and visitors have access to high quality and inclusive play experiences that are secure, accessible and suitable for children, families and caregivers for years to come.
Residents can provide input through Your Voice Camden where people can complete an online survey and share pictures and suggestions on an ideas wall by Friday 31 May 2024.
Council will also be holding a community workshop for residents to understand how children and families use these spaces, and to further help Council develop a strategic roadmap to guide the planning, development and management of playspaces.
Make your voice heard at the following workshop:
Friday 17 May 2024, 9.30–10.30am
Gregory Hills Community Centre, Molloy Room
66 Kavanagh Street, Gregory Hills
Mayor of Camden, Cr Ashleigh Cagney, encourages residents to contribute to the initiative.
“The Strategy will focus on Council’s 129 playspaces including playgrounds, public exercise equipment and our beloved splash parks,” she said.
“We want to hear what the community wants to see in our playspaces now and in the future as our community grows.”
“In order to identify gaps where Council can help and provide action, we encourage the input of the community for this strategy to be the most effective.”
