Support your local businesses with bealocal.com.au
Posted 5 years ago
Supporting your local cafés and restaurants is now easier, thanks to a new website launched to assist local eateries through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Camden Council is expanding its #camdenbought campaign to join forces with bealocal.com.au, promoting local businesses who offer delivery or takeaway options.
Local entrepreneur and bealocal.com.au creator, Jack Bennett, said the service provides a free alternative to businesses who usually engage third party delivery services.
"In the world of COVID-19, delivery is a vital part of most cafés and restaurants. Be A Local offers a more sustainable way for these businesses to reach potential customers,” Mr Bennett said.
“Through Be A Local, you can find restaurants offering delivery or takeaway using their own resources, and give them your full support instead.”
Mayor of Camden, Cr Theresa Fedeli, said it was important to support local businesses and help them stay afloat during these difficult times.
“Many businesses have had to change how they service their customers during this period, and this is how we can help our local cafes and restaurants,” Cr Fedeli said.
“There are zero joining fees for both business owners and users, which is great.
“It’s a fantastic addition to Council’s support package for businesses announced last week.”
Restaurants already signed up to bealocal.com.au include Burger Frank, Valentino’s Espresso Bar, The Italian Food Project, Samadhi Wholefoods, Blue Agave Mexican Cantina, Gregory Hills Hotel, Village Thai, Juicy Goose, Two Chicks, Amano Ristorante e Pizzeria, Alkalizer and Lemoncello Cafe.
