Management of Aquatic and Leisure Centres
Council is entering into direct negotiations for the contract management of all three Aquatic & Leisure facilities, including the Mount Annan Leisure Centre, the Camden War Memorial Pool and the Oran Park Leisure Centre.
What process is taking place with regards to the management of Council’s three Aquatic & Leisure Facilities?
Council is entering into direct negotiations for the contract management of all three Aquatic & Leisure facilities, including the Mount Annan Leisure Centre, the Camden War Memorial Pool and the Oran Park Leisure Centre.
Will my fees change?
Fees and charges are set by Camden Council. Any changes to fees and charges must go through a formal process, which involves placing the proposed changes on public exhibition and having them formally adopted by Council. The 2024/2025 fees and charges for Mount Annan Leisure Centre, the Camden War Memorial Pool and the Oran Park Leisure Centre are on public exhibition from 17 April 2024.
Will my membership be affected?
Memberships will continue as they are. Council will work closely with the successful operator to minimise any service disruptions.
Will my learn to swim class be affected?
Learn to Swim programs will continue. Council will work closely with the successful operator to minimise any service disruptions.
Will my programs be affected?
Programs will continue. Council will work closely with the successful operator to minimise any service disruptions.
Will operating times change?
The current operating hours will not reduce.
My organisation has an existing booking at Mount Annan Leisure Centre and Camden War Memorial Pool. How will the change in management affect my booking?
Once an operator is awarded, the YMCA, Council and the new operator will work together to transition the management of Mount Annan Leisure Centre and Camden War Memorial Pool. This will include providing details for all existing bookings to the new operator who will work to ensure the continuation of services.
