Camden Council is committed to ensuring traffic and movement in the Camden Local Government Area is as safe and free flowing as possible. With the growth being experienced in our area, Council is also committed to ensuring we receive the funding and infrastructure to accommodate our current and future residents and businesses.

Services provided by others
Public Transport
Trains and buses (including school buses) are managed by Transport for NSW on behalf of the NSW Government. They can help you plan your journey online or by phone on 131 500.
Street Lighting
Maintenance of street lighting in our area is contracted to Endeavour Energy who you should contact to report street lighting out or faulty.
Speed Limits, Safety Cameras and School Crossing Supervisors
Speed limits (including school limits and flashing lights) and safety cameras on all roads are managed by Transport for NSW on behalf of the NSW Government. They also manage the School Crossing Supervisor program.
Main Roads
Motorways and State roads are managed by the NSW Government. In the Camden area this includes:
- Narellan Road
- Camden Bypass
- Camden Valley Way (from Narellan northeastwards)
- The Northern Road
- Bringelly Road
- Old Hume Highway (from Camden Bypass southwards to Remembrance Driveway)
The NSW Government is undertaking many road construction projects in our region.
Road activities on State roads including construction, filming and special events require a Road Occupancy Licence from the NSW Transport Management Centre. However, if local roads are also affected by the activity, Council approval is also required.
