Mayor for a Day Public Speaking Competition Entry Form

The Mayor of Camden, Cr Ashleigh Cagney would like to invite nominated Year 6 students to represent their school for the Mayor for a Day Public Speaking Competition as part of Local Government Week 2024.

The event will be held on Wednesday 31 July at 10am at Camden Council’s Administration Building located at 70 Central Avenue, Oran Park.

The nominated student is asked to deliver a short three-minute speech about; Why they would like to be the Mayor of Camden and what they would do for the Camden Local Government area.

This year, the speeches will be judged on a range of factors including:

Presentation of the speech;
Knowledge of Local Government;
Knowledge of Camden; and
Ideas to make our area a better place.
