Residents are being encouraged to stay connected and support one another by leaving a calling card to their neighbours.

Despite Greater Sydney being in lockdown to prevent the spread of COVID-19, there are still plenty of ways residents can support those around them, including leaving a Hey Neighbour! Card deigned by Camden Council on their neighbour’s doorstep.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli, said checking in on your loved ones and neighbours was crucial during the pandemic.

“Staying connected with each other is very important in times like these, especially for the older people in our community,” Cr Fedeli said.

“Last year during the pandemic the Camden community did extremely well in keeping each other in high spirits and checking in on your neighbours and this time around it should be no different.

“Council’s Hey Neighbour! Card allows for residents to leave their contact details and a brief message for their neighbours, letting them know that they are there to chat at any time or even assist in collecting groceries or medicine for those who are self-isolating.

“We are the best we can be when we work together and I encourage all of our community to stick tight and be there for one another as we work through this tough time.”
