Mayors Christmas Card Comp

Mayor of Camden, Cr Theresa Fedeli, needs some assistance in designing her 2020 Christmas cards, and is inviting some special local students to help her.

Entries to the annual Mayoral Christmas Card competition are now open, inviting local Year 5 and 6 students to either hand-draw or design a digital card, at A4 size. They’ll go into the running to win a share of $300 in Harry Hartog book vouchers.

The two winning entries will be used as the Mayor’s printed Christmas card and e-card.

Cr Theresa Fedeli said entries need reflect the theme ‘Christmas through your eyes’.

“Christmas is such a lovely time of year and it really is celebrated differently by so many people in our community,” Cr Fedeli said.

“This is your chance to not only show the rest of Camden what Christmas looks like to you, but also show off your artistic skills.

“For some people Christmas is all about having a feast of food for lunch or dinner and for others it is simply spending time with loved ones. Our community truly is so multicultural, and I would love to see that blend in the designs this year.”

Winners will also receive 50 copies of their artwork printed into Christmas cards, a framed copy of their artwork and also have their artworks posted on Council’s social media accounts.

Entries close on Friday 20 November.
