Christmas Lights Display

Jingle all the way to your attic and dust off those decorations, because entries to Camden Council’s annual Christmas Lights Competition are now open!

Residents are invited to enter their dazzling display to go into the running to win a share of $1,200 in gift cards.

The four categories for this year’s competition include:

  • Best Lit House;
  • Best Novelty;
  • Best Commercial/Non-Residential; and
  • People’s Choice. All entrants to the previous three categories will be included in the People’s Choice category, which will see photos of each go into a dedicated Facebook album. The photo with the most likes/reactions will be declared the People’s Choice winner.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Theresa Fedeli, said spreading Christmas joy can still be done safely through the Christmas Lights Competition this year.

“This year has been difficult for many of our families and I am excited to see our beautiful area lit up with our amazing displays once again,” she said.

“Christmas is a time to come together with your family and friends and truly be grateful for what we have, and these displays always make everyone smile.”

“It’s important to continue our social distancing when viewing Christmas lights. Council strongly recommends residents remain in their cars and view our area’s fantastic displays.”

Entries to Council’s Christmas Lights Competition will close on Monday 30 November, with winners to be announced online Monday 14 December.
