Families in Emerald Hills have a new park to enjoy, after Price Park was opened to the public recently.

The park adjoins the existing Hill Top Park and includes a playground targeted at pre-school aged children, free outdoor exercise equipment, shelter and picnic tables, barbecues, an amenities block and a dual use pathway.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Theresa Fedeli, said the park was expected to become a popular destination for the Camden community.

“Parks provide a space for all residents to enjoy leisurely and Price Park truly does have something for our entire community,” Cr Fedeli said.

“As Camden grows it is important for us to continue developing local parks and playgrounds and it is fantastic to have a second park in Emerald Hills.

“This park will be a great escape from daily routine and allow families to enjoy time out in the sun while cooking a barbecue and simply having fun.”

Council also recently completed upgrades to five playgrounds in the Camden area as part of its infrastructure Renewal Program, including:

  • Manna Gum Reserve, Narellan Vale;
  • Little Reserve, Camden;
  • Eastlewood Reserve, Narellan;
  • Solander Reserve, Mount Annan; and
  • Harrington Park Reserve, Harrington Park.
