The Camden 2022 Business Census will assist Council to understand the local business environment in the Camden Local Government Area (LGA). The information collected through this Census will assist Council to implement actions to support businesses and promote growth and investment throughout the Camden LGA. The Census will take approximately 15 minutes to complete and will provide Council will valuable insights into our local business community. Complete the Census HERE. The census will close Sunday 11 December. Thank you for your participation. School leavers and job seekers were given an opportunity to connect with a range of local service providers and jobs at the Apprenticeship and Traineeship Information Evening on Tuesday 1 November at the Julia Reserve Community Centre. We were delighted to see many eager job seekers discover a range of career pathways and apprenticeship opportunities from local businesses and services. If this is something you are interested in attending in the future, there will be another fantastic opportunity at the Camden Careers Expo on Thursday 27 April 2023. Our 5 to 9'ers had a blast at the 5 to 9 Networking Event on Wednesday 16 November at the Alan Baker Art Gallery. This event encouraged owners and their workers to not only connect with Council, but network with fellow local businesses in a relaxed after-hours event. With live entertainment, and plenty of drinks and nibblies, good memories were made in celebration of Small Business Month November 2023. A Disaster Preparedness Workshop took place on Wednesday 23 November with local businesses taking away practical information and resources to implement before, during and after a disaster strikes. A disaster can impact any business, no matter if it's a fire or global pandemic, a business contingency plan will make the recovery process less chaotic. This workshop was delivered in partnership with key agencies: Australian Red Cross, the NSW State Emergency Service (SES), Resilience NSW, Service NSW for Business, and the South Westen Sydney Local Health District. Participating agencies Local arts practitioners and creative businesses took part in a social media workshop on Thursday 17 November to help build a marketing strategy to grow and promote their business and products. This well attended workshop offered insight into a range of opportunities social media offers to businesses including ways of attracting customers and bringing attention to their creative works. There was a great networking opportunity which provided like-minded creatives to connect and share their ideas for growth and opportunity.
