Camden Youth Reference Group
Camden Council has established a Youth Reference Group, the primary objectives of which are to:

Support and facilitate communication between Council and the Camden community about youth issues and youth policy.

Support Camden Council in the development and implementation of the Camden Youth Strategy.

Plan, organise, implement and evaluate cultural, recreational, and social activities/events as a group for young people in the Camden Local Government Area (LGA).

Educate/build capacity and provide support and direction to Council staff in regard to youth issues in the Camden community.

Provide consultation opportunities for other young people within the Camden LGA to voice their opinions and to develop an understanding of their community.

Assist in raising awareness and increase positive promotion of young people in the Camden community.

Be actively involved in the evaluation and review of Council’s other strategic plans and to be actively involved in the development and implementation of Council’s planning.
The Camden Youth Reference Group is for young people aged 12 to 25 years who are interested in discussing issues, expressing views and contributing to the development of the local Camden community.
