Batman is on his way to meet competition winner

Batman is ready to leave Gotham City to visit one lucky child in the Camden area, as Council hosts a Superhero Dress Up Competition to celebrate Kids Fun Day this year.
Kids aged up to eight years, who live in the Camden area, are invited to enter the competition by simply getting creative, dressing as their favourite superhero and submitting the image to Council. Images must be submitted online, via Council’s website, by Sunday 13 September.
The winner, to be selected by Mayor of Camden, Cr Theresa Fedeli, will receive a personalised message from the caped crusader himself and get to meet him in person on a date of their choice.
Mayor of Camden, Cr Theresa Fedeli, said the competition was a chance for local children to have some fun this month.
“Batman is always so popular at our annual Kids Fun Day event and although we can’t all get together to meet him this year, we’ve created a competition for one special kid to have the day of their lives,” Cr Fedeli said.
“I know many children have several superhero costumes at home but remember to get super creative in your home to stand out. It’s not about the most expensive costume only, I’m looking for clever use of materials around the home and creative ways of having your photo taken.
“I have already had a chat to Batman, and he cannot wait to come out to one of your homes and surprise you with his bat mobile.”
Children can also enjoy a special online clown show with Benny O the crazy clown ready to show you how to juggle on Council’s Facebook page as part of Kids Fun Day celebrations on Monday 14 September from 6pm.
