Local young people aged between 12 and 25 years have the chance to help like-minded people have their voices heard by applying to join Camden Youth Council.

Camden Youth Council plays an important role in assisting to develop initiatives and projects for young people living in the Camden area.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Theresa Fedeli, said it was important for Council to hear from the future of the Camden area.

“Camden is a growing area with so many people of different ages and background and we want to make sure young people can have their say,” Cr Fedeli said.

“Our Youth Council gives our young people a fantastic opportunity to both represent the youth of the area while being heard, getting involved in youth projects, initiatives and events.

“This year will give the Youth Council a chance to also advise on programs and activities that are set to occur at the fantastic Julia Reserve Youth Precinct.”

Camden Youth Council also runs events for local young people through the year including $5 Youth Movie Nights and assisting in Camden Youth Week.
