Catherine Park residents have a new meeting spot right on their doorstep after the completion of the Catherine Park Community Facility recently.

The $2.4 million facility includes a combined sports field amenities building and community hall for the growing suburb.

The building allows for the community hall and sports field amenities to operate independently and include:

Sports amenities with:

• Kiosk;
• Two changerooms;
• Storage;
• Referee and first aid rooms; plus

A community facility with:

• 121 square metre hall;
• Kitchen;
• 30 square metre meeting room; and
• Amenities.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Theresa Fedeli said its completion adds to the growing list of impressive new facilities in the Camden area.

“There are many young families moving to the region and this is just another fantastic facility that they can use close to home,” Cr Fedeli said.

“A new community centre is a positive addition for the people of Catherine Park as they become great spaces for connectivity.

“The facility can be used for multiple purposes at the same time which is another added bonus for the community.”

Catherine Park Community Facility was delivered by Camden Council in conjunction with Harrington Estates under the Catherine Park Voluntary Planning Agreement.

Expressions of Interest for regular hire of the facility will be open shortly.
