Council documentary celebrates International Day of Disability
Posted 4 years ago
Resilience is the key message from Macarthur’s own Stacey Copas in Council’s special short documentary, in celebration of International Day of People with Disability.
The documentary, which is available to view on Council’s website and Facebook page, was released today and features Ms Copas speaking about the importance of International Day of People with Disability.
The video features information on how to use inclusive infrastructure located within Camden, including Curry Reserve Water Play Space in Elderslie and Dawson-Damer Park in Oran Park.
Mayor of Camden, Cr Theresa Fedeli, said it was important for Council to continue supporting those with disability in the community.
“Council is committed to supporting and improving the lives of the people living with disability and their carers,” Cr Fedeli said.
“With more than 6,000 Camden residents currently living with some form of disability, it is so important for us to celebrate them, their carers and family and friends. Everyone deserves to feel special.
“While we are not able to hold an event to celebrate International Day of People with Disability, Council’s special documentary provides valuable information on our local inclusive spaces.”
