Recycling Drop Off 2022 Social Tiles2

Disposing of your recycling waste has again become easier with Council’s Recycling Drop Off event returning this month.

The quarterly event, to be held on Saturday 16 July at 55 Topham Road, Smeaton Grange, gives residents the chance to drop off their recycling waste with Council to dispose of sustainably.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli, said the event was a fantastic opportunity for residents to continue doing the right thing by recycling.

“Camden residents are passionate about disposing of their waste in the best possible way and the Recycling Drop Off gives all of us an opportunity to recycle,” Cr Fedeli said.

“We have up to 100 people moving into the area weekly which generates a lot of recycling waste including cardboard boxes.

“It is important for Council to assist all of our community in not only offering these opportunities, but also educating our community in best practice.

“Now is the time to gather all of your recycling waste and bring it down to Council’s Depot in Smeaton Grange. Our staff will be there to help you dispose of all of the recycling waste.”

Recycling items to be accepted at the event include:

  • Bulky cardboard;
  • Paper;
  • Plastic bottles and containers;
  • Glass bottles;
  • Cans; and,
  • Polystyrene (not accepted in yellow recycling bin).

The Recycling Drop Off will be held on Saturday 16 July from 9am-midday at Council’s Depot located at 55 Topham Road, Smeaton Grange.
