First we found Wally, now to find the Camden Platypus
Posted 4 years ago
First Wally was hiding and now the Camden Platypus has joined him!
Camden Council is launching a fun new campaign called Where’s the Camden Platypus, which will see Council’s mascot hidden across the Camden area. Residents are encouraged to explore new areas in search of the platypus, with daily clues given out on Council’s Facebook page. The Platypus will hide out in a new location each week, so residents will be able to get out and about regularly.
Residents who find the Camden Platypus are encouraged to post a photo with him on social media, using the #FoundTheCamdenPlatypus, to go in the draw to win one of five $50 Visa gift cards.
Mayor of Camden, Cr Theresa Fedeli, said the game was a fantastic way for residents to enjoy beautiful locations in Camden.
“We live in such a beautiful, scenic area and there are so many great spots that many residents don’t even know are there,” Cr Fedeli said.
“What better way to discover some of these spots than with this fun initiative with the family.
“I encourage the community to get out and about and if you find the platypus, don’t forget to take a photo with and share it with us.”
The game will be launched on Council’s Facebook page on Friday 5 June, with the first clue coming right in time for the weekend.
