Local businesses are benefiting from free social distancing floor stickers as the community continues living through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Council is offering the free floor stickers to all businesses in the Camden area to ensure the community is staying safe.

Squeeze and Grind manager Ashley Morris said the business obtained the stickers when they were first offered, and they have been a great success.

“The floor stickers allow us to point people in the right direction as well as give people a gentle reminder about social distancing,” Ms Morris said.

“Any help to a small business during this time is greatly appreciated as we try to continue through a difficult period.

“I’ve already had people ask me where we got our stickers from and I have pointed them towards Council, so it is a massive help to local businesses.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Theresa Fedeli said it was important for Council to support the local economy as best possible.

“As well as the free floor stickers Council’s $16.8 million COVID-19 Support package which was announced in April this year involved help for the entire community,” Cr Fedeli said.

“We are here for all our residents and local businesses and are glad to hear the floor stickers have been well received.”

Local businesses can obtain their floor stickers by registering their interest at camden.nsw.gov.au/covid-19-support/local/ and picking them up from Camden Civic Centre.
