Get a leg up before HSC exams
Posted 16 months ago
With final exams right around the corner for high school students, Oran Park Library is hosting a number of FREE tutoring sessions over the next two months.
Sessions will alternate for Maths and English weekly each Tuesday from 3.30-5.30pm from 1 August to 19 September.
Mayor of Camden, Cr Ashleigh Cagney said students would find the sessions incredibly helpful.
“We know that the HSC can be a very stressful time for students, and so we want to do what we can to ensure they feel as prepared as possible,” she said.
Cr Cagney offered some words of advice for students about to undertake their exams in October and November.
"To our Camden area students who currently have their heads in their books, I’d like to wish you the best of luck,” she said.
“I’d also like to encourage you to try not to put too much pressure on yourself. Your ATAR will not shape your life and there are always pathways to get you to where you want to be. If there is something you want to accomplish and you put your mind to it, you can get there regardless of your test results.”
Bookings aren’t necessary, and students who live or study in the Camden area can simply show up. For more information, visit library.camden.nsw.gov.au.
