Help shape the future of Camden
Posted 3 years ago in Community
Residents are encouraged to help shape the future of their neighbourhoods by having their say on items that are currently on public exhibition.
All items open for feedback are hosted on Your Voice Camden, which is Council’s online consultation platform. It offers locals regular opportunities to be involved in the development of strategies, comment on exhibitions and complete surveys.
Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli, said it was important to involve the community as Council strives towards maintaining and improving services and facilities in the Camden area.
“Council takes pride in involving the community in projects and initiatives,” Cr Fedeli said.
“Community consultation allows residents to voice their own concerns while allowing Council to identify the appropriate responses and solutions to issues that affect them.
“Your thoughts and opinions will guide Council in setting the future direction of our area for a wide range of topics and I encourage Camden residents to register on Your Voice Camden so they can be notified about opportunities to have their say.”
Council has a number of items currently hosted on the platform.
- Consultation and communication survey;
- Project Narellan: Shaping Our Future;
- Draft Biodiversity Strategy;
- Draft Youth Strategy;
- Waste Strategy survey; and
- Creative Kids competition.
Residents are also able to express their interest on a number of initiatives on Your Voice Camden, with applications now open for locals to join Council’s Events Reference Group and Heritage Advisory Committee.
