Garage Sale Trail 3

The Garage Sale Trail is back in 2024 and will run from 16 – 17 November 2024. Garage sales are a great opportunity to sell, declutter, swap or giveaway unwanted household items and clothes and last years’ participants made an average of $457 for individuals and $1,500 for community groups.

You can host a garage sale at home, school or with the local community or sports group. It’s free to take part and register and every seller gets an online sale page that provides what’s on offer.

If you have nowhere to host a garage sale, join Macarthur’s Biggest Garage Sale on Saturday 16 November 2024, from 8am to 1pm. It’s held at the Camden Council carpark, corner of Dairy and Holstein St, Oran Park. Places are limited and registration is required.

You can sell your preloved items from a car boot or a stall as part of a group sale.
There will be residents from Camden, Campbelltown and Wollondilly Councils and last year nearly 1,500 attended, which means more likelihood of sales or bargains to buy.

Camden Mayor, Ashleigh Cagney said, "Council is committed to promoting sustainable practices and finding ways to minimise items going to landfill.

“The Garage Sale Trail gives the community an opportunity to extend the life of the things they no longer need, meet their neighbours, clear out clutter, shop till they drop and also make some money.

“It’s the circular economy in action and it’s something I encourage all Camden residents to get behind,” she said.
