Julia Reserve wins architecture excellence award

Oran Park’s Julia Reserve Youth Precinct has been awarded for its architectural excellence at the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects Awards recently.
The annual awards Australian Institute of Landscape Architects Awards recognise the achievements and work of landscape architects in New South Wales.
The newest park in the Camden area, a joint initiative between Camden Council, Greenfields Development Company and Landcom, includes the area’s second skate park, a parkour facility, multi-use courts, kick-about areas, ping-pong tables and much more.
Mayor of Camden, Cr Theresa Fedeli, said the Youth Precinct was thoroughly deserving of recognition.
“Julia Reserve is a fantastic local precinct for our residents to enjoy so close to home in Oran Park,” Cr Fedeli said.
“Since opening in March this year the facility has been extremely popular with locals of all ages and is a great example of good architecture leading to enhanced social interaction.
“Locals can meet up with their friends, enjoy the skate park, play ping pong or basketball or even simply enjoy a walk with their families.”
Julia Reserve Youth Precinct joins Birriwa Reserve Outdoor Youth Space and Lawson Reserve as award recipients in recent years.
