Leppington Oval Precinct

The future of Leppington Oval has been set after Council endorsed the Leppington Oval Precinct Masterplan at last night’s ordinary meeting.

The masterplan sets the vision for the site and the emerging community which identifies a new open space precinct that will include the development of a new Recreation and Open Space Precinct, incorporating the existing Leppington Oval, also known as Pat Kontista Reserve.

The facility, which identifies three sections, will include:

  • Three full playing fields;
  • Three tennis courts;
  • Fitness stations;
  • Shared paths; and
  • A variety of play spaces and much more.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli, said it was exciting to settle on a vision for the future of the Leppington Oval precinct.

“Council is continually looking for ways to develop new and improve our current facilities and the Leppington Oval Precinct Masterplan is yet another exciting project,” Cr Fedeli said.

“The Precinct will provide high quality active and passive sporting and recreation opportunities for our community to enjoy throughout the year as well as a range of other areas.”

Funding has been confirmed for stage one design and civil works, totalling $27.6 million over the next three years.
