Bag yourself a bag this Christmas, with Camden Council’s limited edition #camdenbought bags!

All you have to do to make one of the reusable bags yours, is make a purchase from one of more than 50 local retailers in Camden Town Centre. They include:

• August Lane;
• Bloom's the Chemist;
• Camden Book Nook;
• Clementine Posy;
• JP's Hair Studio;
• Kayalife Boutique;
• Lifeline Shop Camden;
• Macarthur Optical; and
• Symphony's on Argyle.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Theresa Fedeli, said the bags, which are made from recycled materials, were part of Council’s commitment to supporting local businesses.

“We have some of the most fantastic local businesses, right here in Camden,” Cr Fedeli said.

“And we all have plenty of shopping we need to do during the festive season. This new initiative is the perfect excuse to do that shopping locally and get yourself one of these #camdenbought bags.

“I know there will be many residents who want to get their hands on these bags as we have a very passionate community. They are limited edition, so make sure you don’t miss out!”

Residents who are lucky enough to get one are encouraged to take a picture of what they purchased, along with their bag, and share it on social media using the hashtag #camdenbought. They’ll have the chance to be featured on Council’s Facebook and Instagram pages and also go in the draw to win a $200 gift voucher to a Camden Town Centre store of their choice!
