Owners of heritage buildings to be supported by new Camden Material and Colour Guide
Posted 15 months ago
Camden Council has created a handy guide for owners of local heritage buildings with practical tips on working with the specific materials and colour schemes traditionally used.
The Camden Material and Colour Guide, an initiative of Council’s Heritage Advisory Committee, provides information and advice for property owners to consider when proposing works to a heritage building.
It also breaks down the different kinds of heritage buildings and the appropriate colour schemes.
Mayor of Camden, Cr Ashleigh Cagney, said she thought the Guide would be incredibly useful for owners of local heritage buildings.
“I know from conversations with homeowners that when someone owns a heritage building in the Camden area, they are incredibly passionate about preserving its character,” she said.
“I hope the Camden Material and Colour Guide makes it a little bit simpler for those people to be able to identify what kinds of works would best suit their properties, allowing them to retain their charm.”
