Residents will be able to see what the future could hold for planet Earth, at Camden Council’s FREE movie screening of 2040.
Council will show the recently premiered feature documentary, on Saturday 14 March, 6pm, at The Australian Botanic Garden, Mount Annan. The film explores what the future could look like by the year 2040 if people embraced the best solutions already available to improve the planet.
Film director, Damon Gameau, said the movie will show how the community can work together to bring regenerative climate solutions to the world.
“2040 is a story that focuses on solutions,” Mr Gameau said.
“It focuses on shifting the narrative away from the doom and gloom that is so often presented to make way for a new narrative, one of positive action and climate solutions.
“Together we can all be part of telling a new story and bring regenerative climate solutions into the mainstream.”
Mayor of Camden, Cr Theresa Fedeli, said this was a great chance for residents to get tips on becoming more sustainable in their own lives, with complex issues explained in simple ways.
“We can all play a part in a clean and green future, not only for our local area, but for our planet,” Cr Fedeli said.
“It is all about making positive changes and learning how to make a difference for the environment.
“I encourage residents to enjoy this free visually innovative and engaging movie screening.”
There will be a range of activities and stalls to be enjoyed at the screening, including:
