Voices of local young people needed
Posted 4 years ago
Local young people can have their say on future youth services and programs in the Camden area, with Council’s Youth Survey now open.
Participants will go into the running to win one of five prizes with a combined total of more than $750, with survey results to identify the needs and aspirations of Camden’s young people.
Mayor of Camden, Cr Theresa Fedeli, said having the input of local young people was important to the overall function of Council’s youth services.
“Young people look at the world with fresh eyes and great determination and we need their imagination and opinion,” Cr Fedeli said.
“We want to hear the voice of the youth in our area and what matters to each and every one of them.
“Results will also shape a future Youth Strategy for the area, so it is important to let us know what young people both need and also aspire for in the area.”
Prizes up for grabs for participants include:
- First prize - $240 Netflix gift card;
- Second prize - $200 Teen gift card;
- Third prize - $144 Spotify Premium gift card;
- Fourth prize - $100 Teen gift card; and
- Fifth prize - $72 Spotify Premium gift card
Young people can also help develop initiatives and projects for locals by joining Camden Youth Council, open for residents aged 12 to 25 years old.
