National Reconciliation Week

National Reconciliation Week provides an opportunity to learn about the culture and history of Australia's Indigenous people and to explore new and better ways of meeting challenges in our communities.

National Reconciliation Week is a time for us to renew our commitment to reconciliation and to reflect on achievements so far and what must still be done to achieve reconciliation.

During National Reconciliation Week, 27 May – 3 June, Camden will commemorate the two significant milestones in the reconciliation journey inviting community, young and old, to participate in free art workshops with First Nations Artists.

Workshops include:

Art Making with Aunty Susan, Aunty Michelle and Uncle Hector.

Participants with enjoy traditional activities including clap-stick painting, weaving and creation of their own storytelling art, whilst enjoying a yarn and a cup of native tea.

Monday 27 May from 10.30am - 12.30pm @ Oran Park Library, Sandown Rooms
