Domestic & Family Violence (Youth Specific) Sub-committee
The Domestic & Family Violence (Youth Specific) Sub-committee works collectively to reduce the impact that Domestic and Family Violence has on Children and young people within the Camden community.
The committee's impact purpose statement is;
"Through an innovative, holistic, and collective approach we aim to empower, educate, and support our community to eliminate domestic and family violence and reduce the impact it has on young people within the Camden LGA. "
The committee has looked at the population indicator of number of children and young people within the Camden LGA who are victims of Domestic and Family violence according to BOSCAR crime statistics and are looking at ways to reduce this,
The above graph shows the number of children and young people each year who have been victims of Domestic & Family Violence. The yellow line is the current state and trajectory if we do nothing to intervene. Whilst the blue is the anticipated "turn the curve" if we can all work collectively to improve this. (Please note that the Camden Future data points are predictive only)

The 3 Projects that the committee are working on are;
1.) Youth Peer Support Program
2.) Youth Mental Health & Domestic Violence Forum
3.) Keep it in the Ring Awareness Campaign
